I think Shero to a large degree was a victim of circumstance. He didn't do a bad job on paper, but nothing seemed to work out. Who really knew Subban was going to fail like he did, who knew Schneider's injuries would turn out to be what appears to be career ending, it's likely the Hall camp gave him little choice but to find a trade and who knew it would take Gusev a half season to finally figure it out, which I believe he has, but with everything else, to little too late. That said, the results clearly have not been good, so the pink slip is far from a shocker.
