    Default My Hamilton

    Hey Boyz
Team and league in my sig.

What you think of me trading my Hamilton to a GM for either his Svechnikov or Kucherov.

I have a solid back end and want to move foward with Q. Hughes. I would like a point producing foward for Hamilton. You think this would be an even trade??

A league with 6F vs 4D favours defensemen over forwards.

That being said, if you can manage to get Kucherov for him, possibly A. Svechnikov, I would be pulling the trigger. For the record, I don't think the other owner would accept.

As an aside, you're D is ok as is, but if you moved out Hamilton, it would be pretty weak. I wouldn't be in any rush to move a defenseman.

In a keep 4 you want Kucherov. We are only a few months after most of the hockey community considered him the best or second best fantasy asset in the game.

I do this for either one of these guys. Kuch is the primary target, but I'd settle for Svech as well. While others might not agree, I think your selling high on Hamilton particularly if Kucherov is the return.

Svech and Kuch in same tier? No not by a long shot. I love Svech but Kucherov is proven gold. If your league values D then I think Kucherov side wins handily. Svech for Hamilton a close trade.

Thanks for the input. I've thrown the trade to the GM and hes thinking about it. I think either way it's a win. Just craving that Allstar forward. Burns didn't turn out to be a good first round pick.....for now anyways

Looks like it can be Hamilton for Svech. Im having a hard time pulling the trigger. Im currentlly in 1st place in my league and starting to wonder if having a stellar D core is a the way to play it out. Not sure if moving foward I just keep Hamilton, Hughes Grubauer and a Zim. Or if Taking Svech is better for my teams future. If I wasnt in 1st place id take the deal.....

Call me crazy but if your league counts shots, hits and goals separately, I'd be looking at moving Hughes while his value is high. He'll put up lots of points but Vancouver's not always going to have the top powerplay and he doesn't generate much when you separate the assists out. In fantasy terms he reminds me of Keith Yandle in that he could put up 65 points and still be well out of the top 100 players.

Dougie's turned into a young Brent Burns

I agree with this line of thinking. I'd want to keep Hamilton over Hughes. See what Hughes' name value gets you.
