    Default D Trade Advice

I have been offered Trouba for PK. PK is obviously crap this year. Good trade or try to get a draft pick as well?

I'd try and get a draft pick included. PK floor is like 45 pts. Ceiling into mid 60's.
Trouba's floor is 40 pts and I think his ceiling his low 50's for pts.

I would click accept on that Trouba offer right now.
    Take him and enjoy.

This is that thread where OP waits... thinks... and then comes back and tells us in a few minutes that "other GM pulled the offer".

The Rangers offense is going to be absolutely awesome in a year or two.
Trouba will get 40+pts yearly even if he's only on PP2.
    Trouba is ONLY 25years old.
[There is nobody in ANY of my leagues who would want 30year-old-PK over Trouba. I honestly don't understand how somebody could make this kind of "gifting" to you]

Is this a bumped post from 2015?

Subban owners would kill to see him get to 45 points this season. 60's? Only if he does a body swap with John Carlson.

No Subban's floor right now is around 20. His ceiling if his game and deployment completely change for the good (see aforementioned body swap) would be around 40-45.

    Trouba is the easy choice.

LOL I had the exact same reaction, I literally scrolled back to check the dates on the posts. Trouba over PK all day every day. OP, you were offered an amazing gift, take it.

This season Subban is playing terrible; however so is all of Jersey really.
He is a career 0.63pts per game player. Over an 82gm season coming into this season equals an average of 51 pts over an 82 game season.
Should he stay on such a terrible offensive pace. He still finishes the season with an avg of 0.57 pts per game = 47pts over a 82 game season.
I am not far off of a 45 point floor for Subban. May not happen this year. But that is the floor for Subban. It shouldn't surprise anyone if Subban does finish this season closer to 40 pts.

Just so you don't think I hate on Trouba; here's love for him too. This will help prove why I said ask for a draft pick.
His career avg for pts per game at start o he season is 0.43. That equals 35 pts ovr 82 games.
He is currently on pace for 44 pt season. Lets say he stays on that pace and plays all 82 games. His point per game avg increases to 0.45 and ha equals a 37 point season.
Before you think he will now be a 50 point player like last season.
Trouba is not getting #1 PP time. That is mainly going to DeAngelo and Fox. He is a good defenceman who can get you points. But the Rangers want him more for his shutdown play.
DeAngelo is all about the offense and Fox is too.

I am not speaking out my ass when I said Subban's floor is like 45 points.

    Nice.
I think you got a good deal. Well done.

Now you can just hope that Trouba keeps up his current play and Subban suffers more with the rest of New Jersey

    ^ well played.

Subban has 5 point in 30 games. Which means he is on pace for 14 points this season. He would need to score 40 points in last 52 games to achieve your 45 point floor. Those numbers are pretty glaring. We are almost halfway through the season.

With no PP#1 in sight and Hall likely on his way out of Jersey I doubt Subban hits 30 points this season, in fact I think 25 will be a stretch.

Subban has not registered a point in 19 games. Ouch.
