    Default ROS Hertl for Backstrom?

    (Non Keeper, team in sig)

I thought maybe Hertl would take a big step this year. He's been solid, but the Sharks aren't. Would anybody look into trading him for say Niklas Backstrom? Bakcstorm is getting older, and has settled into a 70-80 point player, but for ROS what do people think?

Nobody is going to push Backstrom off the #1 PP. He may be getting older, but he is still underrated and he has great chemistry with #8. He's top line, but even occasionally on the #2 line he's playing with studs. I'm taking Backstrom over Hertl every day of the week. He has superior line mates and is on a far a superior team. And since you are not in a keeper league, IMHO this is a slam dunk. The only qualifier is that you don't count PPP, which hurts #19's value a bit.
