    Default Jenik or Chmelevski?

For the league in my signature, basically a points only with a bonus to special teams points, GWG and shootout goals.

Hard not to look at what Jenik is doing this season and not be intrigued... BUT he might be helped a lot by Kaliyev and he will need a few more seasons before he makes it to the NHL, if he makes it.

The only player I might consider dropping for him is Chemelevski, although he is closer and has picked it up of late in the AHL.

My gut is telling me that I'm overthinking this and should stand pat with Chemelevski.

    What do you guys think?

    I'd probably switch to Jenik.
When it's your last prospect spot, you should be cycling for the hotter player - as they simply have more trade-value.
Occasionally, I find that as soon as I add that guy, one GM may say "Oh man, I was just about to add him".
Right that GMs name down (or log it in your head) for future trade discussions.

I'd go Jenik. I grabbed him a few weeks ago.

He has another advantage in that it's an easier name to know and get clear in your head. Chmelevski can be confused with Cholowski - I know I do that, and have to get it straight sometimes.

had Jenik played a full season in the OHL last year... I doubt he gets drafted at #65.
Hard to say he'd be a late 1st rounder, but going early/mid-2nd round wouldn't be a stretch to expect had scouts had more opportunity to watch him play for Hamilton last yer

Jenik was actually drafted in 2018 (born on the last day eligible for that draft I believe.) He didn't come to play in Hamilton until early 2019 when his rights were traded from Flint.

my bad on the year. I knew he was one of the youngest of his draft class... just messed up the year in my post.

He's good at the hockey. You're mostly right though, if Jenik had a bit more exposure I doubt he would've been a 3rd round pick.
