The BarBarian has been killing it the past few weeks. He’s the type of player nhl teams would be kicking the door down for if this offensive output is for real.

For multicat/bangers leagues he would be absolute GOLD if he can maintain this form.

Curious what others think. Is he a sell high right now? Or do you expect more to come, this just being the beginning?

From a fantasy standpoint, I’m having a difficult time seeing myself moving him. If this offensive progress is for real, he is becoming an invaluable multi-cat producer. At his age,that would be elite dynasty material.

BarBarian, I like that. I may be a little biased here as I picked him up a few days ago and I'm hoping that he does indeed evolve into a solid roto asset. He had a hell of a training camp and absolutely showed that what he is doing now is not a complete anomaly. He is also close to hitting 200 NHL games played which is a bench mark for a lot of players that evolve into NHL players, not just prospects trying to get there. I don't know if that is what is happening with the BarBarian, but I would advise hanging around a bit for the ride and see where it takes you.

I wouldn't put too much stock into his recent hot streak as I don't believe he is THAT good. But 35-40 points + roto greatness is very achievable.

Thanks! I hope the BarBarian nickname sticks. I think it’s original. At least I haven’t heard it used to refer to him elsewhere. But who knows? He certainly plays like one!

And good take on his play. Definitely going to hold on to him as long as possible.
