    AT LAST.
It was painful to watch the Devils play.
Now let's hope the new coach puts Subban, Gusev and others in a position to succeed.

Assistant coach Alain Nasreddine who was the defense coach will be interim coach, not sure if that’s good news or not. Looking for some insight from Devils fans on this. Time to pick up Subban from waivers?

Yes. 2019 Subban may not be 2014 Subban but he is still a hockey player that can put up excellent fantasy numbers if put in the right position. The risk/reward works out in your favor (proved it is not a cap league)

    I guess it's Hynes' coaching that's offensive?

Unfortunately for the Devils, too little too late in terms of any chance of Hall staying

I don't see that as a bad thing. I wouldn't want to be the team holding on to the future contract that Hall is going to be looking for.

I also don't think Hall was ever signing in the season. He's been pretty open/expressive about player freedom and movement and often points to the NBA. I'd imagine he always planned to going to true FA.

Devils will be fine long-term without Hall. They will get a lot back for him. They just have to get their long-term core in sync and get some NHL-level goaltending.

I was surprised he didn't go in the offseason, but they gave him a bit longer leash, and it failed.

When you have a proven bad coach, you need to get rid of them, and hope the next guy is at least average. Here, the interim guy likely can't be worse, honestly.

Dumb how they fired him 3hrs before the game. That just shows how poorly run the team has become. Seriously, how do you fire him 3hrs before a game, likely after the morning skate? That's just poor planning.

There was no morning skate. They played the night before.

That makes it a little better. But I'm still sure they had some stuff 3hrs before the game. Like players in the building starting a routine, or other managerial stuff between trainers, assistants, medical staff working with players.

Still 3hrs before the game is way to tight to the game for my liking. But I'm not running the team.
