Hi Guys,
I have Tarasenko in my keeper league and have been offered forsberg for him. If i base myself on keeper rank it’s a good move but why is tarasenko so low now on the keeper ranking? I understand he’s out for long but is there a long term concern?
14 Team Keeper League (Keep 6 players)
- 9F, 4D, 1G
- Salary Cap $89.6 Million using Annual Salary
- Players 1 pt: G/A
- Goalies 2 pts: W, 3 pts: SO
F: Thompson, Fiala, Bratt, Debrincat, Boldy
D: Fox
The concern is he's never lived up to his potential and just is what he is. A 70ish point forward that gets between 30-40 goals. No less and no more. He's almost 28 years and alot of folks just thought it was a matter of time until he hit that ppg level and he just never did. I always find he's drafted as though he's a ppg player. His name carries more than his actual value, generally.
Set roster weekly in H2H (Mon to Sun) - 16 Teams - start 6F, 3D, and 1G per week - Keep 2
Points: 2 G / 2 A / 1 PPG / 1 PPA / 1 Hat Trick / 1 SHG / 1 SHA / 1 GWG - 3 Goalie Win / 2 Goalie Loss in SO or OT / 5 goalie SO
Forwards:
C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund
Defense:
B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin
Goalie:
J. Binnington
IR (2 max):
I'd do this trade
I just moved Tarasenko, Getzlaf, DeAngelo, Korpisalo, a 6th, 9th, 10th for Giroux, Duclair, Fiala, Chara, 2nd, 4th, 8th. I do believe his name value played a key role. I'm thrilled to have a guy like Giroux who has a higher ceiling than Tarasenko. As was stated earlier, prob a 70 point guy, never quite achieving his forecasted potential
25 man roster, 15 keepers
G, A, POINTS, +/-, PPP, SHP, GWG for Skaters.
W, GAA, SV%, SO for Goalies
Forwards
Gaudreau (lw/rw), Guentzel (lw/rw), Panarin (lw), Vrana (lw), Couturier (c), Teravainen(lw/rw), Suzuki (c/rw), Mangiapane (lw/rw), Boldy (lw/rw), Beniers (c) , Sharangovich (c/lw/rw), Mercer (c/rw), E. Kane (lw/rw), Barbashev (c/lw/rw)
Defense
Carlson , R. Andersson, Liljegren, Giordano, J.Sanderson
Goalies
Samsonov, Merzlikins, Nedelijkovic, Luukkonen, Francouz, Forsberg
I'd take Forsberg being 3 years younger.
Tank is about to turn 28... I really don't like the thought of goal-scorers with shoulder injuries approaching age 30: see Heatley, Dany.
Tank has a Stanley Cup and three more full years of $7.5m cash.
There's not a lot of motivation for him in the near future to go with that shoulder recovery.
