Not crazy about this deal as Quick is done, Crawford is almost done, and Reimer will soon be done. Unless you have a bunch of goalie studs in the minors, you really need Samsanov.

Agree with Al, even though I like Hughes, Samsonov may be a top 5 goalie in a couple years or next year? Ferland worth nothing.

I agree with the above. Your goaltending does not look good and Samsonov is the only bright spot.

Any chance you could do Weber/Frost for Hugues? I would do that.

My other goalie is Shesterkin in the minors. I've tried to modify but he wants the goalie most.

Mercy... 8/5 split in H2H cats really, REALLY, puts value on goaltenders.

I assume you've got 18 skaters (12F/6D) contribution to 8 cats... so Hughes work gets really watered down by the rest of your team.
Whereas, one superstar goalie is going to really pull a lot of weight towards the 3 cats.

Is it a Start 1G or a STart 2G format?

If you have 2G slots... definite NO for me. Keep Samsonov.
If you have 1G slot... it's a MAYBE... you'd have to feel like you can find good goalies on the wire.

I don't like losing Samsonov and Frost. I wouldn't' do it. That's nice you have Samsonov and Shesterkin. I'd keep both.

I agree that moving Samsonov might be a mistake in your league setup. Ask the other GM if the key piece going his way is Weber or Samsonov. If it's Weber, try doing a deal without Samsonov. If its Samsonov, you'll probably have to pass.
