Lightbulb Which goalie to trade away? Bishop Holtby Jarry

    Hi Dobbers,

reading this forum for several years, lot of great insights!

Now I have a real dilemma, so I had to register and post. I cant discuss this within my league ;-)

I drafted quite good goalie duo Bishop+Holtby (they started awfully, almost traded/dropped them ).
All other players in our league have two goalies, except for specific circumstances (injury, bad schedule, end of week chasing points).

And I just found the T.Greiss was free waiver in our league for a long time, so I grabbed him.
He was maybe forgotten because Islanders swap goalies every match, but even for half of starts his numbers are awesome, actually:
    Greiss:W/L/OTL 9/1/0 GAA 2.07 SV% 0.934 SHO 0
    Bishop:W/L/OTL 8/5/1 GAA 2.25 SV% 0.926 SHO 0
    Holtby:W/L/OTL 11/2/4 GAA 2.86 SV% 0.908 SHO 0

As I never traded goalie, and there are only few goalie trade forum posts, I am lost a bit.
    My questions are:

    1. I dont want to keep three goalies, which goalie I should trade away?
I am leaned towards to trade away Holtby because of his name and worst SV%.
Is this correct plan, will the duo Bishop+Greiss will be enough for ROS (weekly starts, team winning streaks, etc)?

    2. Should I try to get the attacker of defender? Or some mixed multi-trade.

    3. How high I should aim? Is it OK to ask for top defence like Burns, Hamilton, Josi, Weber?

    4. same question for offence. what is the ceiling to ask for? Or I should simply try high and go lower when getting rejects?

    5. bonus question, but somehow related to others: Should I try to trade my injured Crosby now? Or wait for his recovery.

thanks a lot for advices, will rep. league under sig ;-)

Question Re: Which goalie to trade away? Bishop Holtby Jarry

I had to bump and rename this thread, because the situation changed over a month.
The Greiss project didnt go well. I thank to unknown one, who answered the poll - to advice me to drop the Greiss.
Greis was pulled twice later and became a backup goalie for now in Islanders.

Recently I got Jarry onboard. He was suprisingly dropped, so I wasted my waiver priority (6/12) to aquire him for free.

Jarry has best numbers now and became #1 for Pens, Bishop is solid, Holtby is shaky:

    Season W/L/OTL GAA SV% SHO
    Jarry 13/5/1 1.94 0.937 3
    Bishop 14/9/3 2.33 0.926 1
    Holtby 17/7/4 2.99 0.902 0

    Month W SV% SHO
    Jarry 8 0.943 3
    Bishop 5 0.923 1
    Holtby 3 0.879 0

    The questions stay:

    1. Which goalie I should try to trade away and why? Bishop, Holtby or Jarry.

    2. Should I try to upgrade my offence or defence with this trade? (Crosby is coming back, I have to drop somebody).

Thanks a lot for advices and opinions.

Think you should look at moving Jarry and try for a D upgrade as you are going to get a F upgrade with Crosby. May try a 2-1 trade so you can upgradea d, as you have to drop someone for Sid. Jarry may not stay #1, probably highest trade point right now. The other goalies will be #1's. Put Jarry on trade block and see who bites. He should be worth a top D.
