Makar is the #1 for me right now. Chabot could catch up but I think Makar deserves to be seen as the clear top of the 3. Heiskanen has another level offensively too so could be closer than we think.

What’s your guys thoughts on these number 1 dmen going forward? Is there much of a gap? How would you rank them based on points?

That being said, I can see all three of them jumping each other at various times during any given season. All three are high end, young Dmen in the league.

I'd have Heiskanen last of these 3, as he's not a clear #1 power play defenseman, unlike the other 2.
I have Makar/Chabot close enough to want to wait and see if Makar hits a rookie wall, and slows down.
