He isn't the first option on PP1. He isn't the second option on PP1. I'd pass, to be honest, especially in a keep 5 league.
What are your thoughts on subban?
In terms of multicat etc. NJD is bad but they will rebound wont they?
Is subban still a viable fantasy defender?

If you're not competing this year then you should probably buy low to see how the rest of the year plays out.
I own Subban and am getting impatient with his lack of production. Still, I don't think I would sell low. Not yet anyways.
New Jersey is still adjusting to all the changes from the summer so i'm waiting it out. Hall just got his 3rd goal of the year last night and they have made a big decision with their goaltending by waiving Schneider. Subban hasn't looked very good in the couple of times i've seen him so I will continue waiting for this team to hopefully start gelling.
Until I see something that warrants any production hes a dont touch for me.

Depends how low you can buy him. Don't pay for him if it's the price of a 45-50 point dman. But if you can get him at a reasonable price, I'd give that dice a roll. He's got a long history of production, and I don't think his days are over even if he never gets back to those top 5 days. I know right now it looks pretty bad, but he can sort it out. He's not the Subban of 3 or 4 years ago, but I believe he can still produce at a good clip. He is throwing 2.6 shots on goal a game, some of those are gonna start going in or producing rebounds that go in. The Devils are heavily invested in making it work.

I'm 1st in our waiver-order and he just got dropped by an impatient owner. So I think I'll give him a shot to turn things around...

I'd see if he clears, as he may very well clear.
The Devils' coach has to get fired soon.

He looks totally lost out there. He just hasn't been the same since leaving Montreal where he was a stud. Now he's a total dud.
What worries me the most about Subban is that he's just not that explosive anymore.
You don't see him create separation with his stride and open lanes up the ice like he used to do.
Without this power, he becomes an average offensive dman with a good slapshot because he was never a cerebral playmaker / passer like Markov on the Habs for instance.
Oh, and John Hynes has to get fired soon right?
Back to back 4-0 and 7-1 losses? Ouch. NJ looks completely out of sync.
