    Default Point for Marner

Will Marner outpace Point when he comes back from injury? Would anybody make that trade right now?

These 2 guys are remarkably similar players. With Marner out another 2-3 weeks and suffering from a high ankle sprain (not sure he's coming back and contributing right away), I would hold Point.
In a 10 league where we start 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D and 2 G daily. It is a H2H league - we keep 3 players (1 G max), are allowed a max of 2 keeps for each player. The number in brackets is the number of keeps I have left:

G, A, +/-, PIMs, PPG, PPA and Shots.
C - Larkin, Couturier, Kopitar, Cirelli
LW - OV, Panarin (1), Schenn (C), Ehlers (RW), Kreider
RW - Kucherov (0), Seguin (C), Palmieri, Voracek, Yamamoto
    D - Yandle, DeAngelo

    W, GAA, SV% and Saves.
G - Rask, Varlamov, Hart, Mrazek
    IR+ - Tarasenko

I peg Point as a 70-80 point guy, with Marner just above at 80-90 points.

In a keeper I'll make that move and take Marner. In a 1 year, the concern above is relevant and I might hold onto Point. No need to make this move until Marner returns though, and might not even be worth it once he does.

For now, hold Point and revisit later.

I agree with your estimation except that Point plays with Stamkos and Kucherov which ups his value a little bit in my mind. Either way, I still don't make this move.

Thanks for the insight. I don't want to trade Point either.

I am always wary of high ankle sprains. Buyer beware in the short term.
