Having a tough time with this one, so to the group I go!
I'm at the tail end of a rebuild, in this trade I'm getting Dylan Strome, Kirby Dach, & 2020 1 rp (likely pick 10-12) for Laine and 2020 unused (10th round) pick.
Trade partner is perennial top 2-3 with similar model of chasing youth.
NOTE: He started by offering Dach for Laine even trade, then added the 1rp, and now added Strome. I'm not sold on Strome, think he's more of a mid-level player that is exceeding expectations this season, but convince me.

No drop, I already made trades to get 3 top 5 picks this year. Rebuild started 2 months ago. I have an extra spot open.

But if I had to it would likely be Kempe or Dubnyk, just based on performance and age, in that order.

If you’re just about to come out of a rebuild, Laine is the guy I’d want to keep on your roster. You’re getting quantity over quality with this deal. Especially with Laine’s much improved start this year, I’d be looking for more.

Not too far off being a good deal, but either you should get more than Strome or you each add another player to tilt the scales more towards you as compared to how they are now.

How many do you start at each position? You seem to have a lot of C's right now. What positions do they have Dach playing?
