Default Changing of the Guard? Is it time...

    League in my signature.

I have Jamie Benn. He’s still C/LW. Is it time for me to acquire Brady Tkachuk with him? Tkachuk is just a LW, but still gets some FOW’s. 96EE52F7-640A-4D02-97F7-C5C18254ACA5.jpeg

Should I make this trade offer? What side do you prefer and by how much in case I need to tinker with the offer?

In a keeper league? Sure I'd make this offer but I'd be surprised if the Tkachuk owner bites.

Best return on Benn, these days, is probably going to be made to the GM that owns Tyler Seguin.
People have gotten used to linking Benn-Seguin production.
Seguin had a super-slow start to the year... and has turned it on lately.
So Seguin owner might (?!?) believe that Benn will also turn it around.

I think, personally, Benn is toast.
    He's got a big body and he's on the wrong-side of 30.

Some players (namely, Ovechkin) have proven me wrong on that...
But pretty consistently other big-bodied grit/scorers have not done so well after age 30.

Benn's stock is coming crashing down.
And he's still got 5+ years of $9.5m due to him.
There's no motivation for him to really try his best these days with that paycheck locked in until he turns 36.
We might see it in the playoffs... but that ain't fantasy hockey season.

I'll eat my keyboard if the Brady Tkachuk owner accepts that offer.

    Colour me shocked!

I guess with no real keeper implications here (can't see you having kept either of Benn or Brady), it's not that far off. Being a 1 year thing, I could see it going either way, but I'd give the young Tkachuk the higher upside.
