The column did lose validity when it included Aaron Ekblad and had Erik Johnson's on the near miss list. I am pretty sure paying $7.5M for a 23 year old #1 dman for the next 6 seasons is a bargain. The same is true for paying $6,000,000 for Erik Johnson who is also his team's number 1 dman. Just because neither of these guys are lighting up your fantasy leagues, doesn't mean they are not their team's best dman.
