Seems way too high. Could see 250 happening though
Could we see these both hit 140 points each??

I would set the over/under at a combined 235.
12 team H2H Most Cats Wins; Keep 6/winner keeps 7; G A PPP +/- SHP SOG HIT BLK PIM // W SV GAA SV% SHO
3 C, 3 LW, 3 RW, 6D, 2G, 5 bench
C - McDavid, Crosby, Tavares
LW - DeBrincat
RW - Meier, Miller

G - Jarry
We could see it. I wouldn't bet on it. I think 240 is a more reasonable over-under. I'd still take the under, I think....

I think McDavid could still finish 15 points higher than Drai this season. It's a matter of time until he hits 140. For both of them to do it in the same year would be pretty ridiculous. We're getting into unchartered water in the modern era here and it's pretty exciting, if you like scoring.
I went through the 2000's to see the highest total for any two teammates in a given season:
2018/19 - Kucherov and Stamkos totalled 226 (Honourable mention to McDavid and Drai with 221)
2017/18 - Malkin and Crosby totalled 187 along with Giroux and Voracek (Kucherov and Stamkos had 186)
2016/17 - McDavid and Drai with 177
2015/17 - Kane and Panarin with 183
2014/15 - Benn and Seguin with 164
2013/14 - Crosby and Malkin with 176
2012/13 - *Lockout year* St Louis and Stamkos paced for 200
2011/12 - Malkin and Neal for 200
2010/11 - Sedin's with 198
2009/10 - Ovechkin and Backstrom with 200
2008/09 - Malkin and Crosby with 216
2007/08 - Datsyuk and Zetterberg with 189
2006/07 - Lecavalier and St Louis with 210
2005/06 - Thornton and Cheechoo with 218 *Thornton played with Boston as well that year* (Alfredsson and Heatley with 206 came second)
2004/05 - No Season
2003/04 - St Louis and Richards with 179
2002/03 - Forsberg and Hejduk with 206
2001/02 - Naslund and Bertuzzi with 175
2000/01 - Jagr and Straka/Kovalev (who both had 95 points) for a two-some total of 216
So in the last 19 years we peaked last season with Kucherov and Stamkos at 226. 10 times in the last 19 years no teammates combined for 200 or more points (11 if you don't count the pacing during the lockout year).
This year McDavid and Drai are on a modern record shattering 305 point combined pace. I'm guessing they come back to earth here a bit (because they have to?) but I'll definitely take the over on a new modern record (more than Kucherov and Stamkos last season). I probably have to take the under at 280 but I don't want to bet against them at this stage, and I'd set the over/under at 245 if it was up to me.

I don't know where they land in the end, but man it feels good to have McDavid locked up in a keeper. Can't wait to see how high he can go.
