I do agree that salary should still be a consideration. While cap space may not seem important right now, that doesnt mean it wont be in the future.

    Center:

    Derek Stepan
    Jordan Staal
    Joe Thornton
    Alexander Wennberg
    Kevin Hayes

The D arent really great as a group so its harder to rank these guys for me.
    For this year:

    Defenseman:

Jared Spurgeon (Next year, he probably goes near the bottom of my list simply because of that new contract that kicks in)

    Duncan Keith

25 Man Roster (no position), top 20 point getters count at end of month
Keep 20/25 at seasons end, Cut 5 to FA for redrafting
    Goalie points W=2pt L=-1pt SHO=2pt

Stamkos, Tavares, Eichel, Mercer, JRobertson, RThomas, Kucherov, Nugent-Hopkins, Tuch, KConnor, Necas, Point, Konecny, SJarvis, Cozenz, Morrissey, Bouchard, Josi, Novak, Tolvanen, Peterka, Brink

Some sage advice here!! CAP should almost always be taken into consideration. If you are chasing a sure fired championship this year then fine, ignore the cap (been there done that), but there will guaranteed absolutely be hell to pay the next year, having to blow up a championship squad is painful. In most circumstances, looking at CAP a year or two out will pay off in the long run.
