Default my most droppable player in a salary cap league

With Tuch coming back shortly (maybe tonight), I have to move him off of the IR. This will put me just about 3 million over the cap. The way I see it, I have a few options (team in sig)

    1) I can move Strome down to my farm to save cap space, but that means I cannot move him up again this season.
    2) Trade a for a player that fits within my cap structure, or a minor eligible player, or draft picks
    3) Cut a player. In looking at my team, the likely players are Montour, Sanheim (neither on any PP), or Granlund (so disappointing thus far). Cutting either of these gives me enough space to put Tuch back in.

So in this position, what would you do assuming you had cut/trade someone? Is my assessment right, or is there someone else on my team I should get rid of?

    Thanks for any advice.

Assuming Buff on the IR doesn't count towards your cap, I think I would drop Montour.

Is Sanheim minors eligible? I'd consider that if he is. Otherwise, Montour is your drop.

No clue how Big Buff is IR eligible; he was suspended.

In a start 3C, with 8C, how often do you actually roster Strome?

Unfortunately, Sanheim is not minors eligible.

In our rules, if he was suspended by the team we can move him there (i.e. he has no effect on the cap). Suspended by the league is a different story.

Actually you'd be surprised on Strome. Given that White and Trocheck just had time on the IR, and Giroux and Johansson have positional flexibility, I have dressed Strome almost every week. I just picked up Bonino last week so prior to then I really only had 5 centers to pull from.

The other player I was considering dropping is Martin Jones who isn't having a great season.

This is what I was going to say.

I would try to move him or outright drop him. In a 10 team league he has little to no value.

Especially when I have Vasilevskiy and Hotlby with Shestorkin and Sorokin (hopefully) on the way!
