As a Leafs fan, I say absolutely not. Hyman was a 40 point player on a line last season with two guys who hit 94 and 88 points respectively. Hyman will now be on that same line minus Marner coming off an ACL injury. Give me Mango (Johnsson) all day every day playing on the red hot Matthews/Nylander line.

I wont be surprised to see Hyman back on Matthews wing during 5on5 but he's more of a checker than a scorer so his fantasy value isn't great. I think I would stick with Johnsson over Hyman.

What is your timeframe here? If you're looking for a guy to be there for the duration of Marner's absence then Johnsson is the better choice. In a shorter window I can see Hyman having a bit of extra adrenaline at first and could be better for a couple games.
