any opinions on Mikael Granlund - Nashville?

I see he has been moved down to the 4th (yes, 4th line), and 2nd PP. Is it time to get rid of him?
I haven't seen many Preds games and don't have any insight as to why he has been struggling since he got to Nash.
If I get a sense that he will in fact rebound, which will require him to get back on a line with Forsberg and Duchesne, of course.
I also realize he is in the final year of his contract, so he should be motivated. Mabey he becomes trade bait?
Appreciate any and all opinions and insight.

EB is the guy we need for this one because I am just as shocked as anyone. I thought it was a great trade when it happened but it just keeps on getting worse.

I just don't understand how a guy that is close to 70 points in 2017 and 2018 ....and even in Minny last year had 49 in 63 (63 point pace)...comes into Nashville and just falls off the map.

I dropped him a few weeks ago in a $$ keeper where theres less time to be patient . Bangers get a lot of points in said league so if he's not scoring he's useless and a banger can at least get me some .

when the preds scored 7 goals the other night I was afraid to check the boxscore in case he had a good night thus but he didnt even get an assist out of that nashville splurge .

This would be easier to answer if we knew the best players available on the waiver wire. I'm wasn't exceptionally patient when I used to play one year leagues...

no forward scores prolifically in Nashville plain and simple, it is a group effort because they're deep. If you were to get 70 points from a Pred that would be top notch, really think about the last few seasons, nobody eclipses 70 on that squad.

He's droppable in shallower leagues but he's someone im going to keep a close eye on as far as deployment goes. He'll likely have a hot stretch at some point this season but lower expectations with the deployment and ice time he's been receiving. For him to pace for 60+ in Nashville he needs consistent top 6 minutes and PP1 (which hasn't happened at all this season).

I've dropped him this season twice and recently re added him to sit on the bench and monitor deployment. That said, I have a waiver claim in that clears tomorrow and he's my drop if it goes through. So you can see how I value him at the bottom of my roster for the league in signature. If you're in a deeper league you probably have to hold him.

I'm as baffled as everyone else. Just doesn't seem to have it right now. I'm not sure if it's the team, the fact he's not playing centre, or something else that we don't know about, but he's just not the same guy right now.

I'm hoping the recent line change sticking him with FF and RJ is going to get him going, but as it is right now he's looking similar to Craig Smith in terms of value.

Back in the lineup tonight. No points, not much on the scoresheet. I still have hope for him. Been tempted to pick him up as he could break out at any point. Has anyone seen improvement in his game this month?
