It's a really strong trade but Pasta is ridiculous. If you can go for it this year then I accept the deal but if you can't go for it then I would say keep him and look for trades elsewhere. I have Pasta and I couldn't imagine trading him for someone not named McDavid

I just took over first place this week. I know the thought of trading Pastrnak seems crazy. I would drop Ghost and Halak.

You are getting quality players to replace the people you are dropping. Fleury will be much better option than Halak. Really up to you if you want to lose Pastrnak or not. With this much return I think I pull the trigger but it is hard.

Haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I now see Marner is hurt. Might make a smaller trade offer. Thinking maybe Wheeler for Fleury. Thoughts?

If your goal is to be in first place by Christmas, then make the trade.
If your goal is to win a championship, then make a trade like this closer to the trade deadline.
It makes little sense to me to downgrade a keeper this early in the season.

This deal is a big, big win for you, even in a keep 5.
I'd see if you can move Halak to someone for a pick upgrade before you finalize it.

pasta is good but....and much stronger on the eye test but stats wise he will not be that much better than Marner and you getting all that extra wealth...i own pasta and im not sure i will even consider trading him in next 5 years but offer like this would probably twist my arm

well it can push u back a little to start but it will give you big boost when you come back and will give you 2 keepers (Marner Makar) instead of 1

You are giving up 1 injured, suspended, and mulling retirement guy in this deal.
You are getting 2 injured guys back, both of who should be back before the guy mentioned in my first sentence. Do you have room for one or both on IR?

I actually went through the process of accepting the trade, but for some reason it wouldn't process. This is an ESPN League. I dropped Ghost then it asked me to drop a goalie. I did and it kept circling back. I'll see if he is still interested.

It's a definite yes for me.
For this year, HUGE win.
For keepers:
Marner+Makar > Pasta+Wheeler... because it's basically a 7F/4D league and that gives defense pretty solid value.
You've probably already noticed that it is MUCH easier to redraft forwards in this league than to find high-end defensemen.
