He had a good first game. Anyone have a clue if he will stay up for a while, even after Zibad comes back?

Can you rank these three for short term and long term?

    Cody Glass
    Filip Chytil
    Joel Farabee

    Thanks!

Hard to say but if he's earning his icetime with consistent production, he will most likely stay. He got a plumb spot in the lineup so that helped his production I am sure (between Kreider and Buchnevich). If he loses that spot, which we expect he will once Zibanejad returns, I am not sure his production will stay that consistent. Ryan Strome seems to have found a home as 2C for the time being.

As far as your rankings go, I like them the way you have them, short and long term.

When Zib comes back, the second C slot is his to lose. The kid is dynamic and a hard worker. Just expect growing pains.

    Long term I like them:
    Glass
    Farabee
    Chytil

This year, hard to say, depends on usage but I think I will stick with the same ranking as my long-term one.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

CAPTAIN...are you suggesting Zibby L1, Chytil L2 and Strome L3? Thanks.

Yes. I know they brought Chytil up because they're a little light but I think the kid is hungry and has a good chance to stick.

Good find on the piece, Captain. There's no way the Rangers can send him back down the way he's playing. The kid is electric. One of the fun surprises on the young season.

2C looks like his to lose.

I would have declined but not politely...

Jokes aside, in light of the thread you started this morning about who to drop, would it be possible to trade Monahan and one of your third round picks for Chytil and a second? If you are to drop Monahan as some have suggested, try to get a pick upgrade and drop Chytil. At least you get something out of the player you are about to drop.

im not at the point where I'm dropping Mona yet lol.. i generally try and not drop guys i jus traded for. in our league with only 4 rounds of picks, the guys dropped are generally the same every year and are about the same quality past round 1. in fact unles its a stellar year by about pick 7 or 8 OA is down to the cast offs

im in a sparring match right now with the Chytil owner and hes looking for guys like Krug or Doughty in return so this may end up being one of those negotiations that just make me more angry than excited

keep monahan...i think there is enough talent there to bounce back in Calgary or elsewhere.

if Rangers follow the rumors and get Eichel, one of 2 things will happen..either Chityl goes to Buffalo or he is pushed down the line up quite a bit...neither good.
