I finally cut ties with him.

He prolly won't be more than a spot starter in leagues looking for a goal on days with minimal games.

The writing has definitely been on the wall for a while now. Droppable in most formats until he shows signs of turning it around and better deployment, if that ever comes.

Players coming over to the north American game is alot like 18 year olds making the jump. You have your outliers (mcdavids / Panarins) and then you have almost everyone else.
    Set roster weekly in H2H (Mon to Sun) - 16 Teams - start 6F, 3D, and 1G per week - Keep 2

    Points: 2 G / 2 A / 1 PPG / 1 PPA / 1 Hat Trick / 1 SHG / 1 SHA / 1 GWG - 3 Goalie Win / 2 Goalie Loss in SO or OT / 5 goalie SO

    Forwards:
    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

    Defense:
    B. Burns, J. Klingberg, R. Josi, J. Slavin

    Goalie:
    J. Binnington

So since Panarin, only Dadanov has worked out of the recent KHLers?

I picked up Zacha hoping that Gusev/Hischier/Zacha would be a thing. Oh well.

Mikheyev has looked really good for the leafs. Not quite the same upside as Dadonov, but could easily break 50 or outside chance of 60 points this year.

To be clear... you mean buy low on Gusev?

I think so too... risky but he is just such a smart / skilled player I have to believe he puts it together, as long as they can somehow figure out top-6 deployment for him, and he can figure out how to not be a massive liability defensively on smaller ice.

It's one thing to be a decent not bad sorta ok KHL player making the move, but Gus is the reigning MVP and scoring leader... gotta think there's still a decent chance he'll get it together.

Worth the (small) risk IMO, available for pennies on the dollar most places!

Yeah, the thread is about Gusev so I'm making assumptions.

Gavrikov? I doubt he's much of a fantasy player...

Fair, got confused by the Mikheyev detour

Gusev looked ok tonight. Looked like a marginal nhl skater with above average nhl hands. Won the game in the shootout so that has to buy him some stock. That skating though... a clear step behind. Reminds me of a 36 yr old Kovalev and even he was a touch faster.

Be aware to ppl who didn't see it, Gusev SO goal wasn't that good. Helly could have had it.

I thought it was pretty darn deceptive and quick. Gusev has a rifle of a shot and is creative, if nothing else (and in fact not much else).
