Default Replacement manager needed - Dynasty - Small entry fee

    Hi all,

On the lookout for an active and down to earth manager, league is relatively in depth but the rules will explain it easy enough, however, it's not for a hockey newbie for sure. It's run on Fantrax and at the moment is a small fee of $5 plus fees though we have agreed we can up it by a small amount of the coming years (I think a max of $20 but that'll be a way off).

Teams are real life team name and the team available is the Florida Panthers the Panthers are not doing great - sitting bottom of their division.

League format is 16 teams, 4 divisions (2 conferences), 4 teams in each division. Stats in my signature.

Manager who is leaving is currently in charge is still taking care of the team, wife is about to have a baby and they're moving house so he just doesn't have the time anymore. Team listed below - apologies for the formatting (copied and pasted from Fantrax).

    Casey Mittelstadt
    Steven Stamkos
    John Tavares
    Yanni Gourde

Spot has reopened, manager who took over couldn't commit to the activity in the end. Had two people on standby but bumping this in case they've found leagues.

A little hint into what we do in our league, this was a piece taken from our online newspaper just yesterday about your new team

The number 2 ranked team a few months ago, Florida were part of the very first Dispersal draft (with Tampa Bay) a while back in July. Unfortunately for Florida, Tampa came out with the win on this one. Florida picked nicely at the start, picking up the likes of Tavares, Binnington and Stamkos, but shortly fell apart… Florida picking: Pulock, Kravstov, Gudas, Palmieri while Tampa picked Couture, Arvidsson, E.Kane & Lindell. That being said, this was a very talented pool from both teams so the team ended up decent, just not as good.

That new manager recently left due to personal life, leaving a space for our newest manager Randy to come in. An older soul with a lot of experience came into Florida to steady their ship, so far he’s done that with making no trades at all - he’s not one to rush into things and there will be no easy trading with him.

The team has a very win now core, with Stamkos, Doughty, Panarin, Tavares as well as Lehner and Crawford as their main goalies. The main issue with this team is first of all the lack of stand out goalies, having a 1a1b as your ‘starter’ is not usually ideal, relying on one team to get you points… Khudobin and Miller are not starting enough to warrant them taking up a space on the bench even if they are performing good. Star performer for me right now is Drew Doughty, question marks over if he was receding last year, the answer is no. Underperformers are few and far between but Toffolii could be dropped for a better FA and Jokiharju could be sent to minors, clearly not fantasy relevant yet.

It’s a few big games coming up for Florida, this week they’re up against the big boys of the East, Buffalo Sabres, the hottest form team vs the newly hot team - can they ride their luck and produce the biggest upset so far? Florida will be waiting for the next game vs New Jersey after they were beaten just the last time, Randy hadn’t taken over properly at that point so his magic should be enough.

    Previous Verdict: B+ - Current Verdict: C
Not much to say here, Florida are a team who can and might actually make the playoffs, however, the division is so close that I think luck will play a part in this league. They are clearly not the 2nd best team in the league, perhaps the division, but definitely not the league like they were previously.
In terms of advice and improvements, they should be looking to maximize all of their players, Jokiharju is minors eligible, send him down and bring up a big hitting defenseman who guarantees you points outside of ‘points’, or look to make a trade with a couple of minors - this team can make the playoffs and who knows what happens from there. Also look to again, like many other teams - get that all important starting goalie. I have no qualms with running the Chicago 1a1b as long as they have a fully fledged top starter as the 3rd goalie (no need for 4)

One to Watch: John Tavares was chosen last time, still at the Panthers after the dispersal draft he is in his 2nd full season, no more debut season butterflies. He’s also the captain, prior rankings he hadn’t been chosen yet, this is a huge honor but also responsibility for JT.
Previous OTW: John Tavares was the choice last time, he was starting the season as a huge member of the team now, not just a debut season guy.

    Team Two (Hamilton Tigers) 16T Dynasty - 3LW/RW/C, 6D, 2G, 6B - G, A, PPP, SHP, SOG, BLK, HIT, FOW| W, L, GA, SV, SHO, A
