    Default Werenski

    Hey all, team in Sig

I've got a potential trade on the table of Werenski for my Cozens and Ceci

I would potentially dropping Ceci once Larsson comes back because I picked up Weegar who is getting top line minutes (all depends if Dermott goes to Line 1 when hes back for leafs). Werenski is roughly the same as Ceci in pts right now and has been for a season but Were obviously has more potential, am i giving up too much in Cozens (bearing in mind my C depth is very young anyway)

In a dynasty league the entire trade depends on how you feel about losing Dylan Cozens. Werenski is an upgrade to the defenders you’ll lose, but Cozens is more than I’d pay.

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

Too much in my mind. Werenski in my mind has potential like you say to do more but we haven’t seen the consistency so to me he is what he is. Cozens potential is much higher in my mind.

Personally, I would take this. Werenski is already a 40 point dman at 22 (with more than 10 goals a year) with sizable upside beyond that. Cozens is a nice prospect, but still just a prospect, and Ceci is a throw in.

The more I think about it, the more I feel this is a homerun.

I'm in full agreement here. Take werenski, the only nhl fantasy relevant player in the deal. He's 22 and will get even better than he currently is. Who knows what cozens will turn into and when. This is a mash accept in my mind, I try not to get caught up in prospects over proven nhl players. Leave that to the GMs that like shiny objects and never win .

Edit: I don't see ceci keeping near werenski in points the rest of the way. Ceci is a better real life player than fantasy own.
