Gourde would be my option if you wanted a 5th Dman (never a bad option - 4 slots to find extra games)

1-2 seasons too early to think about him over any of your existing Dmen.

Gourde seems the most waiver replaceable of your roster.

Side note - Q Hughes would give you 4 Canucks... Bordering on Van-heavy.

I think you'd get a lot more games played if you added hughes and dropped a winger - you are really deep at LW so maybe Gusev.

Daily starts? If yes and starting 5 d I'd pick him up. If he sticks on PP1 you likely want him this season. Right now its back and forth between him and Edler but worth swinging on. My drop would be Gusev at this stage as he's your weakest winger to date and most unproven at the NHL level. Tack on that his deployment has been less than optimal and he's the clear one to go. You also have some nice multi eligible players to fill the LW. I think a fifth d man with Hughes upside is a better option and you'll get more man games in running 6.

Someone just dropped DeBrincat so I put a claim for him over Nino. No one thinks gusev’s upside is better? Not sure how “proven” Hughes is just yet either. Would anyone be saying drop Kakko or jack Hughes for him? Just looking at dobbers prospect rankings Gusev is real high
