Default Klefbom vs. Nurse vs. Sergachev

I drafted Nurse because I thought he'd be getting PP1 time, and hits. He has disappointed on both. Klefbom is available, but so is Sergachev. Given my scoring cats - G, A, PPP, PIM, +/-, Hits - which would you want on your team?

    Thanks!

Nurse averaged a little less than 2 hits a game last year. This year he is averaging a little less than 3 hits per game. The post says that you are disappointed with Nurse's hits. This position raises questions.

None of the three are going to substantially provide both PPP and Hits, unless Klefbom gets injured or becomes ineffective, opening the door for Nurse. Which has happened in the past. Recall that Nurse's skill set isn't really built for the power play, as he's neither a gifted passer or skillful shooter. Given your roster, I'd stick with Nurse, as you're carrying some guys who are black holes in the Hits category. Take the 30 points, 10 PPP and 180 Hits or so. If Klefbom stays healthy and keeps the PP1 job all year (which has never happened) then in a vacuum, he'll probably have been a better guy to have.

ignore gawdy hit totals of some others... look at career average IE: 160 hits = 1.95 per game 7 games = 13-15 hits. -- don't go expecting 28 hits or 4/gm all of a sudden.
    He'll have a 5 hit game - then a couple 1 hit games... that's the fluctuation.
Same as McDavid - 5 point game... eventually he'll have a 0pt game.

Nurse is the best hits guy of that group.
he'll end up with 40ish points - which is what you should have pegged him for anyway.

You'll be more disappointed with the hit totals of Klef & Serg - over the course of the year.

Which is more important 160 hits and 40pts? or 80-110 hits and 45+pts?

in my mind Klefbom is the easy choice. Maybe 50 less hits, but likely 10+ more points and 10+ more PP points.

Nurse averages just over a minute on PP, appears to shot less early in the season so i think those 5 points so far are probably bit of a fluke. Unless Klefbom gets hurt (and there is good chance of that) i doubt Nurse hits 35 points this year. He will have about 100 more hits than Klefbom and more PIMs. Klefbom will wind G, A and PPP ....last two categories most likely but quite large margin.

it really depends what your team needs more..i tend to lean towards the physical cats with my D.

Klefbom's career high in hits in any season is 58 fewer than Nurse's career-worst season in hits, where Nurse played more than 2 games. And Nurse's low hit season came in 44 games. If Klefbom comes within 50 hits of Nurse, that will mean that Nurse's legs flew off his body in a horrific Christmas Day accident. Nurse's three full seasons yielded 160, 161, and 162 hits. Klefbom has never broken 50.

My bad. Missed on that stat. I still prefer Klefbom. Hopefully Nurse can remain intact and enjoy the holidays with his family

Klefbom is the riskier play with his injury history. Nurse is a steady producer in multicat and is underated in his offensive ability. In my leagues I am quite sure Nurse will outpoint Klefbom.
