Default Moving a top end goalie?

My roster doesn't look overly promising for the first team in my signature. I'm debating on retooling and targeting next year. With 7 keepers I'm wondering about trading either Price or Bob this season and rolling with Samsonov as a keeper in their place. Early returns on him look great. Wondering what people think of this. Also what is a fair return for players like bob/price and ovi?

I guess it all determines what return you can get for Price or Bob. I would think with the slow start that Bob is having at the moment it wouldn't be the time to shop him now. I would try and trade Price.

People have inquired about both goalies. My asking price right now is a non keeper goalie to fill the spot, a young skater keeper, a depth player upgrade and a 1st round pick. I dont think my price is unreasonable given the goalie demand in the league.

First, I'm confused as to why the team doesnt look good. I get that Malkin is hurt, and Bobrovsky sees that it's October, but is there something else specific?

The D look solid, the G look more than solid.

I feel that my forward depth is questionable at best. I've got very few reliable depth guys and a lot relying on players having huge leaps forward (schmaltz, Buch, Necas, Athanasiou, Glass etc)
I think my team is a playoff team, but I'm not sure if I can make a shot at the finals again. I do want to move Malkin, but people are hesitant to take a shot at him.

I imagine the owner who gets either Price or Bob will have a keeper for next year?

If you are ok throwing in the towel this year, why would you be targeting a filler goalie and depth piece. You'll drop both. What's the point/objective? Presumably those pieces will just cost you a better draft position.

I think it's very premature to consider Samsonov as a keeper in a keep 7.

I’d take that team without question . Not one that I would consider rebuilding . You have 7 very good keepers.
Appears your roster size is 18 x 14 teams = 252 players . Should be some decent depth players on waivers .
Too early to run with Samsonov as your keeper goalie .
It’s early in the season and your team looks pretty darn good . Just my 2 cents

I think your team looks much too strong to not make another run at the title this season. Patience. Some guys started a bit slow but things will normalize.

As for Samsonov, I agree he has looked pretty good so far, but he is nowhere near a solidified keeper for next season yet in a keep 7 imo. Yes, Holtby will be out, but odds are Washington bring in a vet to play close to half the games next season as an insurance card as Samsonov wets his feet.

I would not move Bob at any rate. Horrible time to try and trade him.

Price I would consider, but not if it kills your goalie stats this season, which I think it will if you are running only Bob and Samsonov. Holtby is not done with that crease yet and he is playing for a contract.

I may decide to hold off and if Samsonov looks like a shoe in as the season progresses, i'll deal one of my tendys then. In the meanwhile, have to hope my deep forward shots pay off haha
