Getzlaf just dropped
Getz was dropped last night. Is he really playing on pp2 on that team? Henrique on pp1 in his spot? Really? Can that last?
Anyway, do we take a shot here or is he done? League in sig and I still have Morrissey on IR so we would be making two drops. Thoughts appreciated.

I don't think he is done. That would be a savy pick IMO. Problem is the two drops. I'd drop Hintz for sure, but then things get interesting and you have to question if the rising "cost" of this move is worth it. BTW, which Granlund? If it's Marcus I'd likely do this. If not, I think I stand pat.

I tend to agree that he's not done. I've dropped Gusev to re-add Morrissey for this week. I'm just not loving the deployment and Ill keep an eye on him (I don't think anyone will pick him up in this league until his deployment changes).Originally Posted by Bubba55

Anyone else want to weigh in? I'm pretty convinced that Getzlaf > Hintz but wouldn't mind hearing from someone with their finger on Anaheims pulse.

Getzlaf still has game left and I expect him to get #1PP minutes still. I've watched most of the Ducks games so far this season and he's still performing at a high level IMO. The PP change is just early season mix and match.
With that said, without peripherals in your league, I'm not sure how much better Getzlaf is over Hintz. It wouldn't surprise me if Hintz and Getz are within 5-7 points of each other. 53 for Hintz - 60 for Getzlaf. I guess I'm pretty high on Hintz.
Personally, I'd drop Schwartz (over his injuries and he plays very little PP) but you'd be justified to drop Hintz as well.

I don’t think he’s done either. Loses value without hits and blocks but I still feel like his floor is around the ceiling for Hintz this season. They could finish close to each other but even considering age I think Getz will pace at 60+ yet again when all is said and done.
Hintz would be the drop for me.

I dropped Getzlaf as a keeper this year as I didn't have room to keep him. I agree he is not done yet but the injury time is coming. He will be off and on IR this year.

I did the same thing except I redrafted him because I don't think he is done. He still has more gas in the tank however he is trending down and could fall off real fast in the next few years.

I don't think your league is deep enough for you to make this move. I think you let Getz tread water on FA for a while.
