Default Too many Goalies in the kitchen & Bench management.

I'm in a 12 team Salary Cap Dynasty Keep All H2H league. (In Sig)

We have 2 G Slots and 3 BN, with my primary starters being Grubauer & Varlamov. However I also own Buffalo's Starting Tandem, Hutton & Ullmark on my bench.

The problem being that I'm using 2 roster spots on a timeshare, which prevents me from calling up my numerous streamable players in my minors. Not to mention they are a complete roll of the dice as to what their individual or combined value might be at seasons end.

I've been actively involved in trade talks to deal them as a package or for Ullmark alone and am curious as to what scenarios you guys think I should go with.

    Deal both Hutton & Ullmark

Deal one and keep the other

Deal one and cut the other

    Cut both

Another aspect to consider is that Pavel Francouz is in the UFA pool, so I could add an elite backup/handicap while opening up one BN spot for a streamable player if I deal/cut the BUF tandem.

Appreciate all input, Rep will be given. ☺

You want to deal one or both Buffalo goalies. Using 2 slots for goalies which limits your ability to move guys up & own to help you isn't good.

I'd be looking to roster no more than 3 goalies on your main roster.

100% Agree, & 3 starters has been my go to strategy for years. However now that there are so many 1A/B timeshares these days it's been hard to roster 2 full fledged starters plus a 3rd one or solid backup.

Varlamov ending up in NY really screwed me on top of it, since it'll likely be a 50/50 split with Greiss. Maybe dealing Varly to the Greiss owner is the solution.

this is exactly what i was going to suggest. don't make your time share situation worse by trading only one of the Buffalo goalies, which will leave you with a starter and 2 time shares. That would be risky because you may have weeks where the other side of both time shares are on a streak and you're not getting the chance to make any goalie starts other than Grubauer

Not only are there all the issues you mentioned, but juggling starters means I've ended up leaving the best stats on the Bench. What's the point in gambling on a timeshare if you miss out on reaping the rewards.

Sadly I might have to wait for the Greiss owner to need Varlamov due to injury, or hold all 4 Goalies for the season & hope Varly is in the driver's seat come Fantasy Playoffs.

Despite their great start, interest seems low due to the same roster concerns I'm trying to rid myself of.
