Yes. His mind for the game is still there but his decisions are based on what his legs and feet used to be able to do and they can’t. He’s lost a lot of power in his stride sadly. I’ve always been a huge fan of his but he doesn’t look the same.

The whole NJ team sucks. Gusev alone is not the problem. The talent is there, something's gotta change to right the ship. He is too talented to be playing bottom 6 minutes.

His underlying numbers are bad but he has what, 10 games of experience on smaller ice? From what I saw of his KHL work, if he can do the same thing but a little faster, in tighter space, then he'll be fine. He just has to learn how to do it and for what it's worth, I see him trying out there. He's not coasting. It'll get better I'm sure. I hope I'm sure lol.
