The owner of Zibanejad has him on the trade block. He's asking for a top D in return. I'd Like to get Zibanejad, but I'm not sure he is worth the value of Doughty or Nurse to get him. the waiver wire on D is naturally thin.

When looking at your centers and dmen, I’m not sure this makes sense for you. After Letang and Doughty your depth at D drops off some, and as you said the waiver wire is thin. You’re not exactly weak at C either. Zibs is a beast in multi cat setups and I’d want more coming back as mentioned above. This kinda feels like making a trade just because he’s on the block, and would also thin out your D while adding another C-only player.

The thing is with Centers is they are valued a bit lower than Defencemen as they are easier to replace off the WW. Zibanejad is better than both Doughty and Nurse but his position lowers his value a bit. Looking at your team though I still would keep your D as I think they are more valuable to your team than Zibanejad would be.

I see this simply. Zibanejad is worth the trade. In another week, make an offer to trade another of your centers (Dubois?? - his value is quite good, or RNH - multi position) for a defenseman.
