Right now it looks like the Liberals and NDP will comfortably pass 170 (160 + 24 as per CBC)...

Yeah, things changed quickly. When I wrote that, the Liberals had something like 145 seats, the NDP 20 and the Green 2.

Scheer is almost certainly out as party leader as the next election cycle will likely be closer than another 4 years away. The CPs will try to reinvent on how to point fingers and pretend to know how to improve on the economy with a new leader.
Surprise of the evening was Con deputy leader Lisa Raitt losing her seat to Liberal (former Olympian) Adam van Koeverden.

Find a leader with some personality who isnt so right socially, and actually come up with a proper climate plan, and I would consider voting conservative again. But the plan to just get more angry Albertans every year doesnt excite me.

I wonder if Scheer will now add "Prime Minister of Canada" to his resume now. Right beside insurance broker.

Scheer is toast. If he could not win this election with the ball tee'ed up for him this nicely, it is obvious that people don't like his brand of swarmy bs and evasion. If the PC's could actually put together a decent platform and a progressive leader with more character I would consider voting conservative again.

Ironic that you point out in the first sentence how Conservatives don't know how economy work and in the second sentence you mention that an Olympian won as a deputee.
    Good joke

So you would vote for Conservatives if they put a Liberals leader?

kinda sums up my previous post...

my wife made a comment last night that surprised me. she says "i woulda voted for Party X but i knew they didnt have a chance at winning, so why would i vote for them?" got me thinking, how many others have the same opinion? why vote for a loser, even tho you believe their schtick, when you know theother guys will win anyway, so Ill vote for them to make me feel like i voted for the winner to make me feel better about my choice.
