Hey guys,
Point only league with bonus for goals, I have Green as my last D but seeing that Cholo is on the first PP with that big unit and that he is available makes it tempting. Has any of you seen him play? I thought Hronek was the guy supposed to be the new PP1 guy?

Yesterday, I dropped Green and picked up Hronek. He is the future on the first PP, and he should take over for Cholowski within the next Month or two. It's now evident Green is being replaced on PP1.

Oh yes I expect most of these vets will only be used in order to increased their value for a deadline deal. That is unless Mantha scores 100 goals.

Sadly Hronek is not avaible, hence why I thought I'd take a chance at Cholow with is present deployment.

It seems that Cholowski has been given the #1 PP slot, even ahead of Hronek. Not sure how long that lasts but both are a better option than Green at this point.

In a MC... Green's the guy.. he doesn't give great periphs, but they exist. Esp. SOG. He's not paid 5.375m for his defense.

Cholowski (LH) is the preferred choice for the Det PP1.
The lefty-stick fits better with how the DET PP runs their unit.
There are a few good articles online (worth reading) that explain the why.
Green is likely in his final season with Detroit.
He was brought in by former GM Holland - Yzerman will want to do things differently.
Also, Green's contract is set-up such that come Feb1, Green has to submit 10-teams for trade.
So... clock is probably ticking on his days left with the Wings.
Hronek may end up running PP1... but the stick handed-ness is a real issue for opening lanes & vision.
