    Default Nashville Lines

Looks much different to start the year. Top line has been shuffled. And loaded PP with Josi as the QB. Wonder how long it lasts?

    Ard - RyJo - Smith
    Forsberg - Duchene - Granlund

    PP
Duchene, Forsberg, Ryan Johansen, Viktor Arvidsson and Roman Josi

Forsberg/Duchene/Granlund line is going to be awesome to watch if that sticks.

was thinking the same thing. That could be a dominate line. Honestly, I'm really optimistic that Forsberg will score around 75-78 pts.

I can't see the Preds going that long without their best PP player on the first unit.

I was going to ask the same thing... then I thought about it for a bit and I am 100% guessing he means ex-Wild Granlund

I wonder who they'd bump off the first unit?

Regardless, a second unit featuring Granlund and Ellis would automatically be one of the best 2nd units in the entire NHL, regardless of who fills out the rest of the unit.

My guess: Smith, Granlund, Tolvanen, Turris, and Ellis.

What do we think Granlunds upside is without pp1 time? I was optimistic for a bounce back with him but that included being on the top power play.

Bonus if he sticks with forsberg and Duchene but I think he needs pp1 to get 65+.

    Points: 2 G / 2 A / 1 PPG / 1 PPA / 1 Hat Trick / 1 SHG / 1 SHA / 1 GWG - 3 Goalie Win / 2 Goalie Loss in SO or OT / 5 goalie SO

    C. McDavid, N. Kucherov, R. O'Reilly, J. Schwartz, J. Toews, J. Huberdeau, T. Toffoli, M. Granlund

I thought Granlund too but wanted to make sure. He might be an upgrade on Arvidsson, but for the time being I'll trust the new PP coach they brought in.
    I think he's 60 without PP1, 65 with.

Mikael Granlund...he has more PP points over the past 3 years than anyone else on the Predators roster.

    Josi - 50 PPP in 229 games
    Turris - 44 PPP in 209 games
    Forsberg - 40 PPP in 213 games
    Smith - 25 PPP in 233 games
    Ekholm - 23 PPP in 243 games
    Ellis - 21 PPP in 197 games

Gotta wonder where he'd be on that list had he played 237 games all in Nashville over the past 3 years though... he might have 40... no way to tell how effective he is/will be in Nsh

Granlund is a wizard with the puck...partly why I think Forsberg will have a career season. I want to believe that playing with Granlund at even strength and on the PP is worth at least 10 extra pts.

Fair, though if he was on PP1, it would be at the expense of Arvidsson, and I'm not sure either him or Forsberg would succeed in taking over that net-front role.
