    Default Best backup option?

My league only starts one goalie, which will almost always be Vasilevskiy for me. But I want to grab a backup in case of injury. Who is the best option out of these?

    - McElhinney
    - Raanta
    - Georgiev
    - Hutton
    - Ullmark
    - Howard
    - Quick

I’m kinda thinking just taking McElhinney as Tampa’s back up might be my best option?

Some of these guys are starters (Quick, Howard) or at worst 1A/1B guys (Raanta, Hutton). Since you have Vas, probably the safe pick would be McElhinney, since he's at least as good as Domingue and look at what he did last year. Then again, you could try to get a legit starter like Quick or Howard and stream starts on off nights.

Raanta or McElhinney would be my pick. Higher risk/reward, or safe.

Yes it’s a weekly lineup setting. That’s why I’ll play Vas almost all the time. Really just looking at protection against an injury issue

If you are going for injury only than I'd lean toward McElhinney.

Easily Raanta for me. ARI is very sound defensively and IF healthy Raanta should see the bigger chunks of the starts given by his contract alone...

Maybe I’ll grab Raanta as he has more potential value- pretty sure no one will be grabbing McElhinney any time soon so I can always change it up later

I agree with this. Raanta is trade bait if he does well. McElhinney is injury insurance.
