I think DAL's addition of Pavelski & emergence of Hintz should pop another 5ppp to Seguin's totals.
And the pure maturity of Heiskanen may add another 3-5pts there as well.
Additionally, a better DAL team could mean a few token empty-netters, especially if Seguin is just out there raking a draw backwards.
All that could add up to 10+pts... which should do the "Top 10" job.

I just drafted him #12 overall in RHRS, so I'm all in.
This is all very good logic, and makes me feel even better about the forecast. There are other tidbits in the column as to why Seguin should see his points increase enough to land in the top ten scorers, so be sure to check that out.

    I voted for:

Seguin - Benn had a couple really slow months and the addition of Pavelski should increase the overall team scoring.

    Other Rookie -
Two that I have high hopes for are Martin Necas and Ryan Poehling

Fleury - Fleury has had bad years before and injuries.. I think Vegas wins a lot... but I think it is Subban in net because of injuries.

    My own:

    - The Flyers have three defensemen that get 40 points this year.
    - We see one defenseman score 100 points
    - It takes 60 goals to win the Rocket Richard this year

Some bold (crazy?) predictions of my own:

Minnesota and Chicago will make the playoffs at the expense of St. Louis and Dallas
Wheeler will have more faceoffs won than Giroux this season (Little injury gives Wheeler a look early, plus Hayes in Philly puts Giroux more permanently at wing)
MacKinnon will lead the league in points, Rantanen cracks the top 10
Tavares will score 50 goals while Marner eclipses 100 points, the latter to finish in the top 5.
All three of Bergeron, Marchand and Pastrnak miss 10+ games this season due to injury (Marchand escapes this feat last season). Krug also gets hurt and Boston struggles this season but barely makes the playoffs.
Hellebuyck will stand on his head and lead the Jets to a division title, even with that depleted D core.
Couturier will lead the Flyers in scoring, hitting 80+ for the first time.
Ottawa will not finish last. (yeah yeah I know)

and the boldest of them all...

I will win the RHRS (I say this every year - one day it will happen!)

    1) At least 3 players hit 70 points while playing less than 45% of his team's total PP minutes.
    2) Filip Forsberg finishes top 3 in goals by a winger in the West.
    3) Radulov outscores Pavelski by at least 15 points.
    4) Nick Schmaltz finishes the season with more points than Dylan Strome, despite scoring at least 5 fewer PPP.
    5) Philip Grubauer finishes the season with a higher SV% and lower GAA than Sergei Bobrovski.
    6) Calgary Flames miss the playoffs.
    7) Alex Galchenyuk scores at least 15 points more than any other Penguins winger not named Jake Guentzel.
    8) Pekka Rinne starts at least 60 games.
    9) Anders Nilsson starts at least 50 games.
    10) Carey Price will lead the league in games played by a goaltender.
    11) At least 1 goaltender will lead their team in wins while playing fewer games than another goaltender on the same team.
    12) Kyle Palmieri finishes top 6 in goals among wingers in the East.
    13) Brendan Gallagher collects more assists than goals.
    14) John Gibson leads the league in SV%, despite finishing outside the top 5 in GAA.

    I picked these 5.

    2) Gustav Nyquist will not break the point per every other game mark
    3) Thomas Greiss will win more games than Robin Lehner
    5) No more than six goalies will appear in 40+ games while having a GAA under 2.50
    9) Tyler Seguin will finish in the top ten in NHL scoring
    13) Marc-Andre Fleury will not win more than 27 games

Gustav Nyquist won't score above a point per every other game
Another rookie will outscore Jack Hughes and Kaapo Kakko
Andrei Svechnikov will score at least 74 points

The ones I voted for, one easy decision and other two that I think are close enough that I voted yes on them. I have Gusev easily outproducing both Kakko and Hughes so an easy vote there. Nyquist has been around the 0.5 PPG mark two of the least 4 seasons already so being under isn't particularly unlikely especially as Nyquist just entered his 30s and CBJ could easily be somewhat of a mess offensively without Panarin. I am very high on Svechnikov and projecting high 60s production so 74 isn't that far ahead to rule it out.

Gusev is not a rookie in the NHL.

As per the NHL Hockey Operations guideline,

"To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie."

I know he's not considered rookie by NHL's Calder standards, but I thought rookie was referred to as more generally 1st-year-player so Gusev would count. RizzeeDizzee's even referred to Gusev as a fellow rookie(although non-Calder eligible) in the article so I assumed he would count in this case. To be fair projecting Gusev to outproduce both Kakko and Hughes isn't particularly fearful or could even be considered an expected outcome so maybe it meant Calder-eligible rookies.
