He is off to join Russia's world junior team. He is the only WHLer invited to the team. There are 3 from the QMJHL and none from the OHL. The rest of the invitees all play in the Russian leagues.

I had been keeping up with chuck's posts and doing some stat watching but never looked too into Zamula since I didn't think my league was deep enough. I caught some cherry-picked clips of him this morning and, DAMN, does he look silky smooth. Definitely more excited to see him at the WJC now. He's #9 in those clips by the way.

2 goals and named the Russian player of the game in a 4-3 loss to the Czech to open the WJC tournament.
Why hasn't anyine been hyping this guy up?
You know you're into hockey prospects too deep when you wonder if this thread was going to be updated following today's game.
Ferraro was talking him up a while back, and I was reminded of that today. Lets see if he keeps it up.
point per game in his 4th WHL season is not exactly earth shattering ... thats why he is not hyped up any more...

It's his 3rd WHL season and he was almost a point per game last season. Zamula was also one of the better dmen at the Flyers training camp this fall.

No credit given to chuckcouples in the article! Even changed Zamula's name to "Yegor" to hide the article from the Dobber forum. Shameful.

Shoulder-high we bring you home,
And set you at your threshold down,

Back surgery dammm. Well now I feel better that I didn't add him in my dynasty, but hopefully he recovers nicely especially at a human level

I don't know if not considering a prospect that is out of action for 3 to 4 months in a dynasty league is a good strategy.
I look at Philadelphia's depth chart and I can see a potential spot in the top 6 next season for him and definitely at the top of the list for injury call ups. 4 months out gives him a normal offseason and he nearly cracked the roster this season.
Then again, I'm in 5 leagues that uses prospects and he's owned in only 1 and I'm that owner. I may have a slight bias haha.
