Regular Monday Egor Zamula Update
4 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, 5 points, 12 shots on goal, 1 PPG, 2 PPA, +7 (next best on team is +4)
For those of you in very deep leagues, Egor (or Yegor) Zamula should be someone you should do some research on. He went undrafted but was invited to the Flyers camp last year. He looked good enough that they signed him to an entry level contract. He was apparently one of their better dmen in training camp before being returned to Calgary.
He has 2 goals and 2 assists so far in 8 periods of regular season action while being the best player on the ice according to some. He's 6'4 and weighs 176lbs this year after being 160 last year. He had 10 goals and 46 assists in 61 games last year plus 7 assists in 11 playoff games. He will turn 20 in March and should play on the Russian world junior team if they don't let their CHL kid bias affect their roster.

Pick him up before another GM in your league does.
Nhl eta?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Thanks... I grabbed this guy in my WHL draft!
someone i've added to watch lists... Only 1 pool is deep enough to warrant grabbing him and I suspect his ETA is 3yrs so not someone I can justify adding over Perunovich or Niku currently - my two weakest D prospects.

No earlier than 2 years would be my guess. WHL this year with maybe a few AHL games to end the season depending on the Hitmen and Phantoms seasons. AHL next season then a chance at being in the NHL the following year. The Flyers are pretty stacked on the blue line for defense prospects which does not help but talent rises to the top and this guy is full of that.

Zamula got his own point in Elliotte Friedman's 31 thoughts this week:
13. The Flyers, by the way, may have found another one. There are good reviews for WHL Calgary defenceman Egor Zamula, who they signed last season as a free agent.
Flash forward to the 2045 NHL Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Nine-time Zamula (formerly "Norris") award winner Egor Zamula takes the podium and speaks. "This journey started long ago on a fantasy hockey board with one guy who believed in me."
Ilya Solovyov should be getting similar recognition in the OHL. 1st year playing in North America
