Even before all this I believed Morgan Rielly should be the captain. He's the longest tenured core member and from what I've heard is the guy who runs the locker room and organizes team outings and whatnot.

As much as I love JT he's barely been a Leaf for more than a year. That said it wouldn't surprise me if he got the C because of his experience as a captain and being a good ole' Ontario boy.

We have a few deserving options to pick from. In light of recent events Tavares may be the most likely but to me it should be Morgan.

These guys were obviously drunk and being idiots...but on a serious note, that situation may have been frightening for the female security guard. I'm not sure of the details, but I can imagine that a bunch of drunk men trying to get inside her locked vehicle could have been construed as a threatening situation. If the security guard was a man, I'm sure they wouldn't have even bothered trying to enter the vehicle.

As far as captaincy goes, I’ve been saying for the past 2 years it should be Rielly. Longest serving Leafs who has been there through the collapses and all the crap that got them where they are today. Excellent with the media and carries himself perfectly in front of the camera. No offense meant, guys, but this is a typical male response. I'm sure from a woman's perspective, this shit is getting old and tiresome and men should be punished for harassing women, even if the men are drunk. A bunch of loud, obnoxious men should not be attempting to enter into a woman's locked vehicle while she is in it, even if it is a joke. I don't really think this is society being overly sensitive. As I said earlier, I'm sure if the security guard was male, they wouldn't have even noticed him and certainly they wouldn't have tried to get into his vehicle.

This is the reason why some females feel unsafe on our streets. This reminds me of the "F U C K her in the *****" shit that drunk guys do on camera. Enough with this BS already.
