• INACTIVE Managers Clauses: If at any time a commissioner sends more than 3 consecutive emails to any manager without a response, the manager will automatically be dropped and replaced. If you are absent without setting your lineups, and a commissioner has to set your lineups more than 3 times in any season, the manager will be dropped and replaced. If any manager is not replying to trade offers in a timely manner (7+ days with no response), the commissioners will deem that team as abandoned and a new manager will take over. These clauses should not have to be enforced. Do not join this league if you are unable to be present/active or pay attention. If you have a habit of abandoning your fantasy teams halfway through a season because you didn’t like your draft or your team is underperforming, this is not the league for you. We want to have a fun league, and it’s no fun for anyone when there are dead teams in the league.

• Trade Rules:
o Trades can include players, draft picks and whatever else you can think of (conditional picks, waiver priority, etc.)
o Trades made during the season will have a 1 day voting period and are subject to Commissioner/Asst. commissioner approval
o Teams agreeing on any trade that includes conditions that cannot be normally added in the trade screen must immediately post it in the league message board with all particulars (draft pick positions, etc) laid out clearly, and both managers must state they agree to those terms. If 4 managers post objections to the trade within 24 hours, the commissioner (or designated moderator if commissioner is involved) will have final decision.
o Trades are allowed in the summer as per definitions above.
o No additions to the roster from FA can be made during the off-season.
o If a manager goes over the 20-player limit during the off-season (due to trades made), they will have until 1 week prior to the upcoming year’s draft to drop or deal players to get their team compliant. Penalties for failure to comply to this requirement can include draft pick forfeiture or player(s) dropped from the roster to become eligible.
• Rosters need to be finalized by the last day of the actual NHL playoffs. If you still have players on IR, they must be activated FOR that day not ON that day so this means you have to do it 1 day before the playoffs are over, failure to do so results in you losing the player on IR who goes into the FA pool for the following year’s draft.
• Any Prospect added to your team during the fantasy playoffs will be dropped at the end of the fantasy season to be put back into the prospects draft pool, IF they have played fewer than 30 regular season NHL games. If they have played 30+ games, they may be kept on your active roster only.
• Draft will be non snaking (EXCEPT FIRST YEAR'S DRAFT), 5 rounds every year.
o The first season will have a two-part draft, active roster and a 10 round farm/prospect draft (see below). The active rounds will be 1-20, done first via Fantrax live draft with the expectation that all managers are present. Please submit a pre-ranking list in case a manager cannot attend draft, and the commissioners will take the players ranked in priority order if available. The second part of the draft will follow the active roster draft, where only players that are farm eligible can be taken in rounds 21-30.
o The first season there will be a maximum limit of 3 prospects allowed in any one manager’s active roster draft. This is to prevent the depletion of prospects for the farm draft. See below for prospect eligibility.
• Once a player is activated off NHL IR, the manager owning said player will have 2 days to activate that player or the commissioner will drop him off your roster.
• Addendums may be added to these rules as deemed by the commissioner.

Farm System Rules:
• Team finishing in 12th place (regular season) picks 1st and then in turn through 1st place; the only exception being the playoff champion will draft last each year. Repeat for each round (non-snake draft).

  • First year will be snaking with a new order created via a third party online draft lottery.

• Farm rosters will be 10 players max, and MUST have their rights owned by an NHL team.
• Prospects are owned for life, and the only way to change prospects is by either bringing them up to the main roster, trading, or dropping. The only way to add new players to your farm is through the prospect draft, via trade, or by making a waiver claim for another team’s dropped prospect. You cannot add prospects to your farm via free agency at any time. If you drop a prospect during the season, you cannot replace the empty slot on your farm until the next year’s prospect draft.
• Any players drafted in the active rounds of the first draft are NOT farm eligible, and cannot be sent down to the farm by his owner regardless of career games played or age. He can only be dropped, and then any of the other 11 managers can claim said player via waivers and place them onto their active roster only, not their farm.

  • Only players with less than 60 career GP are eligible to be drafted to the farm, and must be 24 or younger on 10/1(of any season). Meaning, if a player turns 25 on 9/30, even if he has never played an NHL game, he no longer has farm eligibility.

• For all players, skaters and goalies, rules are as follows:
o Prospects cannot still be on the farm after 120 career NHL games played at the beginning of the season.
o If a prospect is 25 years of age as of 9/30 of the upcoming NHL regular season, he must be graduated to your active roster or dropped.
o You may bring up and send down prospects at will between 0 and 120 career games played as long as you have room on your roster to do so.
o If the prospect has played his 120th game, and he is brought up to your active roster, he must clear waivers to be sent back down to the farm. Manager must post on the league message board (not the chat) that he is being dropped and if no other manager makes a claim within 24 hours, you may demote said player to your farm.
o If a claim is made, you have 3 choices, let the prospect go, keep him on your roster, or work out a trade with the manager making a claim with highest waiver priority.

  • If a prospect reaches 120 career GP during the season and is kept on your farm, the prospect does not have to be promoted or dropped until the offseason. Once that player is promoted or dropped, he is no longer farm eligible.
  • Regarding the dropping of prospects, you may not drop the player and use your waiver claim to put them on your own farm.
