So I’ve been in talks with a fellow manager in a league with categories like my sig but not that team.

My Tarasenko and Zucker

For

His kessel and Faulk

On that team it would leave me to drop Brendon Dillon and allow me to keep Thornton

Is that worth it?

If you need a D that can put up points nearly as bad as the league in sig. this becomes a no-brainer. Faulk is a really solid MC Dman.
You loose a few hits and a few goals here
But SOG should be close - I suspect Kessel will shoot more in ARZ.
Wouldn't surprise me if Kessel is pt/gm under Tocchet - who get along really well & is the reason he agreed to go

I think this is the type of underwhelming value deals that can make a difference in a pool
I'd take Kessel/Faulk here

I personaly wouldnt do it. Still, Im not that familiar with your league and your team needs. If you feel like that you need that help on the, do that deal.

From the looks of what your leagues scoring is about and your needs this does make sense for you. I do however think the more upside goes to the players you already have in Zucker and Tarasenko so I wouldn't make the trade, but if the trade works for you in getting Faulk and Kessel will be shooting a lot and the primary scoring target in Arizona I think then by all means make this move.
