Niku is the better dman but who knows what the coaching staff in Winnipeg will do.

Niku is more offensive than Pionk, but for him to get the TOI, he needs to show he can play at both ends consistently.
I think he chews into it as time progresses.

For what it's worth, Niku played with Morrissey last night and looked good as he picked up a pair of assists. That doesn't mean anything, but if he does land that spot alongside Morrissey, you've got to think it would help his development big time.

This is one of the larger offseason massacres I have seen a D corps endure. Trouba, Myers, Chiarot all played big minutes. Now Byfuglien. That's 4 of your top 5 D out the door with only Pionk incoming. Niku Stanley Beaulieu Kulikov as the replacement candidates. You have to think the Jets are making calls on Faulk and every other D available out there.
