Which duo?

Tavares and nyquist

Or

Backstrom and Voracek.

I know Tavares > backstrom and Voracek > nyquist. Is this purely a take the better player? Or is it even?

I think I'd stick with Backstrom and Voracek.

Tavares is awesome, but the difference between him and Backstrom isn't as much as the distance between Voracek and Nyquist. I just feel your RW would suffer a big hit going from Voracek to Nyquist and although your Centers would be improved, you are already quite deep at that position.

I lean the backstrom/vora side... the dip to Nyquist is just too much for me

If you can replace Nyquist easily, you get the best player in the deal with Tavares by a fair margin IMO. If Nyquist will need to be rostered however, I would stick with Backstrom and Voracek.
