Debating on if he’s a keeper from my team this season in a keep 6. The unknown is what’s pushing me away from it using him as a keep. No timetable which is the concerning part

Is this for your league in Sig, what are the other options. If you can keep someone similar, I would go with the safer bet, but if he has by far the highest upside of the guys available to you, I'm still keeping him.

If you can only keep 6 players, I'd probably release Byfuglien (I might have released him even before his personal leave).

You have a fairly strong team. I've bolded the players I'd keep.

C- Wheeler (C,RW) Pettersson, Zibanejad, Trocheck
    RW- Voracek, Atkinson, Rantanen
LW- RNH (C,LW) Couture (C,LW) Dubois (C,LW) Kyle Connor
    D- Rielly, Byfuglien, Carlson, Gustafsson
    Goalie- Murray, Hart
    12 team, H2H, salary cap
    1 pt/G or A, 2 pts/W, 1 pt/OTL, 1 pt/SO

    Forward: B. Point, M. Necas, A. Debrincat, T. Zegras, J. Bratt, L. Raymond
    Defense: J. Morrissey, A. DeAngelo, S. Gostisbehere, D. Doughty
    Goalie: T. Demko, E. Merzlikins
    Bench: M. Rossi, C. Glass, M. Maccelli, M. Dumba, K. Shattenkirk, F. Andersen
Prospects of Note: L. Stankoven, J. Lekkerimaki, D. Yurov, B. Clarke

League has been running continuously since 1997-98

I traded Buff in a mostly-keep (almost dynasty) this off-season for the 11th overall pick - which I knew would be a good forward prospect, ended up taking Peyton Krebs (VGK).
I thought that was good value.

It just "feels" like Buff is due for a regression and the cap-crunch in WPG should make the team generally weaker.

I own him in a dynasty league and I'm holding on. No trading him.

I mainly play one year leagues and with this news I'm sliding him down quite a bit on my draft lists, not like you'll be able to IR him if you draft him. My thinking is the injuries have taken their toll and he's contemplating walking away while he can.

Yeah for me he’s definitely not worth using a keeper on. I’ll drop him and if he makes it they the draft and we get further details maybe I’ll pick him up again if he’s available. He missed a lot of games last season, was very effective in a banger league but I don’t see him producing as much, Morrisay gunna take a good chunk of PP1 time.

Yeah you would slide him down your list mainly because most of your opponents won't even consider drafting him. Draft him in the later rounds where you normally gamble on breakout potential.

I gotta decide by Friday if he’s one of my 17 keepers and not sure what I’m gonna do yet.

In my 1st keeper league that already drafted, I quickly added Neal Pionk as F.A. It certainly would add to Josh Morrissey‘s value. Winnipeg would certainly trade for another D-man. Ristolainen for prospect and pick??

12-team, H2H. Keep 12, but drop 2 of top four skaters, and also 2 of next six, then five more (from end-of-year rankings). One GK max.

Carolina could afford to offload a D-man. Maybe in exchange for Laine. Great landing spot for Laine (who based on interpretations of his latest quotes is acting like a jerk) to go and play with a bunch of jerks.
