So here's league #3 for me.

    Not in sig.
Points only. Keep all. Max 18 players. Rookies are exemptrd from limit until they reach 80 GP or 60 pts in career. Top 1G, 3D, 9F counts.

We once were 20 teams, but we got old, and were 14 last year. Two more left, so we'll hold our 4th dissolution draft in 6 years.

I finished last in what appears to be my 2nd out of 3 years at the bottom of the standings, hoping 2020-21 is my time. Roster includes Andersen, Ghost, Fabbro, QHughes, Pettersson, Svechnikov, B Tkachuk, Larkin, Tolvanen, Borgstrom. And I own the 1st overall pick for J Hughes.

We'll have a shot at picking 2 guys for free from the now GM-less team, and I'll have the first shot at it. My G is a bit old, and my D is kinda thin, but maybe I should just focus on raw talent. Here are the top10 candidates I think.

2nd overall pick (Kappo or C Hart)
    Makar
    Morgan Rielly
    Panarin
    M Tkachuk
    Guentzel
    Keller
    Scheifele
    E Lindholm
    Landeskog
    Nugent Hopkins
Other okay Ds like Ellis, Subban, or older performing ones like Giordano and R Suter
And other prospects such as Zadina, Mittlestadt and Glass.

    So I'll have 1st and 13th picks.

I *think* I'd rather stick to plan and draft 2nd overall pick (and not have to drop a depth player until late this year or next year) and pick a middle of the pack D or be lucky Makar wheels at 13th.

Maybe Morgan Rielly is such a beast he deserves to be picked here and draft a Mikael Granlund or Clayton Keller.

Or should I just jam Panarin or Scheifele and pray to wheel Makar or Subban/Ellis?

    Current rankings I have :
    Scheifele
    Panarin
    M Tkachuk
    Kappo???

    Reilly
    Makar
    Subban
    Ellis

Is Kappo that good? Will Panarin be great for more than 2 or 3 seasons?

    Thanks all for your replies.

I'd probably take Morgan Rielly from that list. He's safer than the old options, more proven than the rookies.

Hart is intriguing, but Andersen is a great goalie who isn't old yet.

I'd probably go Rielly or Panarin they're both in prime years and are sure bets for another few years easily.

btw, your league sounds like a lot of fun, and im a fellow Montrealer. If ever a spot opens up in your league, let me know i'd be interested in joining!

    Cheers!
