    Default DeBrincat vs Laine

For the league in my signature, the DeBrincat owner is considering a one for one swap. Which guy do you like better?

Call me nuts but I think I take the cat. I think he's gonna be a top 10 scorer in the NHL and he can also pop in 40+

Oh man this would be tempting, but I think I hold onto Laine here.

Haha, I hear ya! I've been talking myself into and out of this constantly! Maybe it's a sign that is so close that I'd should be happy with either player. I'm surprised to see that it is so close. Dobber's rankings have these guys quite a bit apart, along with their 3 year projections in his guide.

The only problem with the trade is Laines perceived name value. Because it's still reasonably high ask for an addition.

Even if you go one for one I think debrincat out points Laine this season by at least 5 and potentially 15. So if you can get some additional value and are in it to win this season it's probably worth doing.

Additionally Laine is without contract at this point so that's a consideration as well.

I think I would ship Laine out. Debrincat is legit and is only going to get better. We know Laine is good but last year is a concern. He was awful. I would try to leverage the name brand of Laine and the fact that the other manager wants him into a player swap with a pick upgrade.

    debrincat for me.

for the slight upside that Laine reaches his potential, theres too much risk and drama going on about him. Debrincat is a lock and is the future of Chicago whereas Laine has Connor, Ehlers, etc.

MAYBE laine outpoints Debrincat by a few points in the near future, but i would just take debrincat, assure myself of a lock 70-75-80 points every year and not handle the drama around Laine.

Let someone else handle Laine's problems
