    Default Big trade help (rep)

So i currently own hellebyuck and Grubauer.
Who would you keep? I'm right at the top as far as contenders go. Which goalie is better this year. Connor was super frustrating this year so that is why I'm considering keep grubs on up and coming avalanche and the crease seems very likely all his.

Now I'm also trying to flip Crosby and Landeskog for Nathan MacKinnon.
It's possible that I could need to add one of these goalies to the deal as the other owner owns dubnyk and isn't thrilled about it. He's a jets fan.

    Any opinions welcome.
    Thanks

Keep Landeskog and Crosby, drop Barzal instead.
Keep Helle, and don't risk a tier 1 goalie for a tier 2 goalie that has never been a full season starter before.

That's interesting. I just have a feeling Barzal is a top 10 player for years to come. MacKinnon is much better than Crosby going forward due to goals pts and age. Landeskog is a sell high cause of his linemates. Understand Barzal will have his struggles under trotz and is a pass first....but I just have a feeling about him I want to own.

And I guess you don't want to keep both Helle and Grubs eh?

Not allowed to. Dunno...grubs competition in net is a nobody. Or is he a good prospect?

I think you have to keep Helle at this stage over Grubauer. Grubauer has proven only that he can be good backup on a good team; there's no evidence of full-season performance. As to Helle's lackluster year, once you display a skill, you still own it, even if a disappointing year is on your resume. Hellebyuck owns having an excellent full season. That's the best evidence out there.

Francouz is a nobody in North America, but pretty well known with a very solid KHL track record over here. His transition to the smaller rinks, etc. has gone very smoothly (very solid stats in the AHL in his first season on your side of the Atlantic), so he actually could become a factor if Grubauer falters.

I kind of feel your dillemma though as both your Gs are buy lows at the moment imo. But as you're not allowed to keep both, here's what I'd try to do:

As the other guy is a Jets fan, I guess you could somewhat maximize your return for Hellebuyck compared to what you'd get for Grubauer. So deal the proven commodity for a better return, roll the dice on Grubauer who plays for a powerhouse in his own right and pick up Francouz as a handcuff and safety net if you feel like this is needed. That's probably not hard to do - maybe you can even get him for free...

If you can't keep both goalies, then keep Hellebuyck. I get that he's frustrating, and he wouldn't excite me as my one keeper goalie, but I think that's what you have to do here. As a different approach, could you try to trade Hellebuyck and Landeskog for a goalie upgrade?

Helly I'm not convinced is the best goalie this year. Karlsson has been injured so much of late I don't expect things to change. Basically I grew very tired of them 2 this past season. Crosby is a very difficult trade....no one wants him reaĺly or canmoffer anything worth while due to age and concussions I guess
