Prospect draft trade

Would you trade prospect pick 5 (where I would take one of byram or turcotte if they fell to me if not I would take caulfield) for pick 8 and a second round pick 17th overall.

My farm system is depleted I have:
Zadina
Compher
Ho sang
Filip gustavsson
Malcom subban

I could use the extra high picks, or would you just stay pat and get the best available prospect?

My second round pick is at 14.
Our farm systems cap out at 8.
League is mainly points only

Outside of the top two, I'd have no issues dropping down a couple spots and picking up the 2nd pick. I'm not sure the difference between 5 and 8 is all that much and in my rookie drafts there's still some excellent pieces in that 17th overall range.

I would make that deal.

Take the offer. The difference in talent from the 5th to 8th pick is minimal in my opinion and you get a pretty good pick added on. I had a pretty good 2nd round pick for my upcoming draft but traded down for 2 3rd rounders. Like you, my minors were absolutely depleted and I now have 9 draft picks for our draft in October.
